Biancograt enjoys a rich history and tradition of timekeeping. Swiss Made timepieces are handmade in a dedicated watchmaking facility constructed between the years 1915 and 1916 by the Swiss watchmaker Stadler. In 1930, the building became the home of Switzerland's oldest watchmaking academy. Craftsmen include fifth- and sixth-generation Swiss watchmakers, skilled in the intricacies of horological design and creation.

Biancograt, meaning "white crest," is also known as the steep, knife-edged snow ridge that leads to Piz Bernina, the highest peak in the Bernina range of the Swiss Alps. Biancograt is considered one of the great, classic climbs in the scenic and exciting high-alpine region just south of St. Moritz, near the border of Italy. This rugged and beautiful setting characterizes the spirit, pride, horologic tradition and reputation reflected in every Biancograt timepiece.
